For me it is a challenge attempting a fair critique about this Art work that fascinates me.
The whole in its apparent simplicity has a complexity that arouses both the imagery and deepest feelings.
I cannot dissociate the technique from the aesthetics.
The choice of a square crop "underlines" the inevitable cycle of life - no escape.
The light and faded out blue tint enhances the mood.
The human silhouette has its shadow as an inseparable past with no fugue from.
Although there is a lot of digital post processing involved it does not diminish the high value of this Art Work.
Excellent !
