I would like to begin by saying this piece set a strong mark upon me from the moment I saw it, and even before I got to start dwelling into it's concepts.
Definitely surreal, with a dose of movement and excellent lighting, it sets an ethereal mood, of curiosity and wondering, begging the viewer to come closer and closer to discover it. The fading human silhouette, bordering the realm of the non-existent, painting a road into existence, filtered by light, ash and embers, will employ you the duality of the human soul. Which brings us to the title. Well-chosen, represents the artwork and does it true justice by once again, reflecting duality. (few people know Lucifer means "Bringer of Light" before he got turned into Satan and others such). The tight space, invaded by light suggest a feeling of atemporal but the ashes remind of the ephemer. I have tried but I simply cannot find anything wrong with this piece. The execution, the colors, the dynamism...they all blend in a harmonic matter to create and eerie and striking effect. My personal rating: 100% !
